Research beginning in the 1970’s on similar proteins, Frag 176-191 showed properties of being rich in proline and high levels of proteases in 1984 clinical research. While showing some properties of G-hormones, Fragment 176-191 was determined to not cause hyperglycemia or negative changes in the level of glucose in the blood. Laboratory testing and research have shown that the HGH fragment 176-191 stimulates lipolysis (the breakdown or destruction of fat) and inhibits lipogenesis (the transformation of nonfat food materials into body fat).
